Macys was dressed 2 the 9s as the purple reigned supreme 2day, 777, in the city of Minneapolis. Everywhere u looked u saw 3121 in bright golds and purple hues as beautiful as the fragrance being promoted. Then came the show. All of a sudden macys flipped over to a swanky late night club as fans who had been waiting all day started streaming in the doors to get an earful of the hottest saturday afternoon performance this town would ever see. Prince and the band took the stage with Sheila E. And jumped right into Down by the riverside, 3121, girls & boys, a love bizarre, get on the boat, the glamourous life, take me with u, and ending with a blazing version of Guitar that brought the house down. Sheila tore it up thruout on the percussion solos and Prince was hammering that guitar. The start of an amazing purple day!

Always a musical innovator and icon, Prince is once again leading the charge into a new music distribution landscape, redefining tradition and setting new precedents. As well as having taken the innovative step of giving copies of his new album "Planet Earth" away with concert tickets to his London O2 dates, Prince has new plans of putting music directly into the hands of fans. In association with the Mail on Sunday publication, Prince will deliver his new album "Planet Earth" to nearly 3 million readers in the UK on July 15th.
This plan has shocked the music industry and set local retailers into chaos causing major controversy about the new future of music retailing as presented by Prince. This news comes on the heels of announcing a final 6 shows of Prince's record-setting 21 Nights in London which have been swept up by record demand.
A spokesman said, "Prince feels that charts are just music industry constructions and have little or no relevance to fans or even artists today. Prince's only aim is to get music direct to those that want to hear it. Prince famously took a stand against Warner Records in the nineties when he went on strike and appeared with the word 'slave' drawn on his cheek. Subsequently, he regained control of the publishing rights to his work, and broke down the existing system through his innovation."
Prince, ever a creative genius and forward thinker by nature, has set a new standard with his latest plans in the UK for “Planet Earth.” He continues to define on every level what it means to be an artist.

3121 insiders tell us that Prince has been talking up his new CD 2 friends and colleagues. Some seem 2 have gotten the impression that the first single "Guitar" might b Prince singing 2 himself, the side of him that wants 2 settle down.

PRINCE 21 NIGHTS: THE FINAL 6
After the spectacular launch of Prince's 21 nights in London, when 15 concerts SOLD OUT in a matter of hours, Prince is set to complete his incredible purple reign over London by adding a further 6 nights at The O2 Arena across August and September. This will fulfil his astonishing feat of playing 21 Nights in Europe's brand new state of the art arena, The 02, eclipsing all previous arena attendance records in the process. The 21 shows in London will see Prince perform his greatest hits for the last time ever, centre stage in the round.
Promoter Rob Hallett of AEG Live said, "It is extraordinary that any artiste can sell out so many nights in London, the previous record was 14, but to sell this quickly and in August is quite remarkable! However with Prince we are talking about a phenomenal artiste who has spent his whole career raising the bar so we shouldn't be too surprised. I can see this record outliving the century!"
The new dates are August 24 and 25, and September 6, 16, 20 and 21. Tickets go on sale on 9am Friday 15th June and will be available from www.aeglive.co.uk, www.3121.com, or 0871 230 44 22/ 0871 984 00 02. All tickets will cost £31.21, with booking fees capped at £3.50, plus £2.50 postage and packing per order, and will include a copy of Prince's brand new CD, the follow up to the critically acclaimed '3121'.
