The Artist and Mayte in October issue of Spanish Vogue
npgshy reports from Spain that The Artist and Mayte r the cover story of the October issue of the Spanish edition of Vogue magazine. He also provides us with more details:
it just came out, mayte and The Artist R on the VOGUE spain october issue; by the way, great cover photo by André Rau. it contains a 6 page innerview containing many pictures of the happy couple at their home in marbella. the innerview was recently conducted by Bettina Dubcovsky; but the great thing is that all pictures but the cover R by The Artist himself!!! could any1 say isn't it beautiful? they look betta than ever!
there is a great picture of mayte in front of a mirror and The Artist is reflected behind her taking the photo! there is a bizarre 1 with The Artist makin' a strange pose in front of a Mercedes Benz's lights driven by a couple of young blond girls, and - apart from some additonal pictures of their saloon, outside of the house, swimming pool - 1 of the most beautiful is the 1 of both of them washing each other's hands :)
highlights from the innerview would B: they consider themselves as mates who inspire each other and hold the same bridge straight.
mayte is in rehearsals 4 a new show of her New Power Generation Dance Company 2 B premiered in madrid or barcelona by the end of the year, containing new music composed by The Artist as well as live arabic music. she is also thinkin' about startin' work on a new album or goin' bak 2 her roots and re-start her career on theater.
the great inspiration their new home in spain that The Artist has felt 4 his new album "RAVE UN2 THE JOY FANTASTIC". he has done a lot of writing 4 it there, and he is also thinkin' about creatin' choreography 4 a new dance show.
The Artist says that as he doesn't B-lieve in the "time" CON-cept he thinks he will B doin' "something different" in his life when he is 140...
mayte would like a new year's eve "show-party" celebration.
their plans 4 the new millenium is simply 2 B "in the light"...
all friends should not miss it!!!
Jayme Monteiro reports on October 21st that u can order the magazine online at http://www.magsnow.com.

TLC per4m "Prince" songs live in concert
Eric Benchimol reports on October 23rd:
A report from the TLC concert last night in Toronto...
TLC first played a little of Housequake. They started off "Tell me who in this house know about the quake" (unfortunately, not many of the teenaged girls at the concert knew the song). They went on the play the full first verse of the song (with music & horns and everything).
During T-Boz's solo section of the show, they played If I Was Your Girlfriend.
Also noteworthy was that they played a latin remix of Shout. As I reported earlier, both Enrique Iglesias and Sheila E. were working on a latin remix of the song, so it looks like it might be finished and ready to ship to radio. I'm not sure if Sheila E. was in fact involved in the remix.

Naming your baby (squiggle similar to O+>)

Kinda funny and first time I've seen the symbol of T.
Artist used in an ad. Don't know if its legal or not
since they are using the symbol with no copyright info

The October 27th issue of French national newspaper Le Monde contains an xclusive interview with The Artist conducted back in September at the time of the Rave Un2 The Joy Fantastic listening party.
Click here 2 access the Le Monde article directly (in French).
Here is a translation of the text of the article in2 English.
NPG Records has provided us with the following corrections:
Once again, The Artist never asked 2 b
called by this moniker. It transpired out of the media's frustration or
outright refusal 2 respect
's choice 2 b referred 2 by an unpronouncable
symbol.
, if anything- now considers Prince
2 b a pseudonym rather than the other way around.
Prince, as producer of the new album, had the final say as far as
instrumentation, direction of a particular song and editing were concerned.
He was not called upon because of some hidden desire 2 achieve "past
success." Music 2 those who create it is a success by virtue of its
creation. How many CDs it sells is primarily the function of distribution.

NPG Records has provided us with the following corrections regarding this article:
"wandering in the desert?" -- more like: wandering at the withdrawal window of the bank. Not that this is the most important thing on earth but tis a much better characterization of the past 3 years than wandering in the desert.
No one is 4bidden 2 ask ?'s... politely asked 2 shy away from ?'s of a personal nature, yes. After all,
is not being interviewed 4 a biography. NPG is merely trying 2 make the public aware of the 4thcoming new product.
Slave was written on his "4head?" Alrighty then.
Certainly stopping the misuse of the trademark
AND the unauthorized spread of copyrighted materials is a significant victory.
