    just a note to say that this is one of the most exciting events to hit me [apart from waiting 4 my wife 2 give birth 2 twins!] . You have given so much not only to the hardcore fams but also every day music lovers and it is wrong for anyone to expect or demand more , but since you keep raising that bar I hope that more new and vault music will be frequently available. Can anyone say "bye bye bootleggers" because this may be the way to beat them.

    Let me just say that i'm VERY excited about hearing and seeing some New Funk from The Man adn all his friends.
    Im a little concerned that this whole experience might be out of my price range (if it costs...which im sure it will because quality usually has a price in my experience) and also that the previous MP3 files i have downloaded from The Vault have been really bad sound quality and i know its not my Pc or MP3 player cuz they are new.
    Anyway - i dont want to sound ungrateful before we even get started...looking forward to seeing what this experience is all about.
    I was wondering if ypou could give me any idea on the price and any other details or is it a big suprise for the Fams

    NPG Music Club sounds like a great idea! The question on most peoples lips I think is : Will there be a fee and if so how much will it be?
    Also, what sort of format are we to expect? Is the audio going to be streamed or will be allowed to download it? A lot of people, myself included, only have access to the net at work where as much as i would love to have your music coming out of my computer i don't think my managers would appreciate it!

    1)Will there be a fee to pay for the club?
    2)Will we be able to download or buy full concerts that have been played? For instance,the recent hit n run tour
    3)Will there be live video and audio streaming from paisley park performances?
    4)Will Roadhouse Garden be released in the club?
    5)Is there a longer version of cybersingle to be released in the club?

    It's difficult to persuade friends (who are not into Prince) with studio material. However, if i let them hear livestuff, and i mean good life stuff...
    So were can i find that montly aftershow download in soundboard???
    If Prince releases soundboardshows/aftershows of every tour, the bootleggers profit will decrease intense...so what's the deal
    this looks like a win/win situation to me. Just go into that vault, grab some masters, put them on the NPGMC and let's boogie baby!

    I registered and am looking forward to the 14th with much anticipation.
    I hope that the NPG Music Club would offer subscribers some kind of priority consideration for purchasing concert tickets, as well as other events when Prince comes to our town.
    Regarding that, I hope that along the way, your registration will request additional info (like address--at least city, etc.--age, etc.) so that you can have a better sense of your demographic AND so you can target special deals our way.

    At the end of the Graffiti Bridge Movie, there is actually a scene of Prince on the computer (Mac) doing something that looked like either mixing or downloading music into his computer. Prince also if I remember correctly, back in 1994 said in an article "wouldn't you like it that instead of having to wait for the songs/album to get to the record store, that all you would have to do is wake up every other morning and you have a new song waiting for you on your computer!" I'm very happy to see Prince's vision finally come to light and that he will be able to start releasing his music at the same speed records them. Keep rocking hard in a Funky Place my friend, U have my full support. Let me know if you need any help!

    it would be cool to see this club operate like a library of sorts to your vault. we could choose the year for songs and download tracks that you would graciously provide. this could be our chance to finally have an endless supply of fresh new jams from ya. this would be revolutionary accomplishment for a musician of your status to make this interactive product. can't wait to see how this goes, many possibilites await. bowie and you are worlds ahead my friend, good for you and us! peace.

    prince- i think it's wonderful that u're doing this 4 us and i can't wait 4 the 14th!!!! now my question is what about the fams who don't have access to a computer or even a fast computer? will these grooves ever become availible physically? will we ever be able 2 go cruising around listening to the new jams or go 2 a party and throw in a nice new cool groove from the music club? just a thought. thank u! -dig-

    I am definately excited about the NPG Music Club. I was surprised that it all came together so quickly. There is so much music to share...and I feel blessed to be one of the fams to experience it.
    What kind of "concert deals" will be given to the fams? I am wondering since I am hoping to see Prince back in Raleigh, North Carolina this year? I was trippin' on the fourth row during the "Jam of The Year" concert, and wnat nothing less if he comes back to Raleigh this year. Will the group inform fams of concerts before the general public? That would ensure a better chance for good seating? Honestly....what about preferred seating for fams?? That would be the greatest thing.....that way..Prince would know that everyone he gives dap to while on stage is actually part of his extended family with Love4OneAnother. What do you think?

    I am really looking forward to the future in hoping to own cd's filled with unreleased gems that have not been officially available as of yet! When you release a new cd filled with music, it makes my entire week!! Please don't make your dedicated friends wait any longer! Also, try to come to perform in New York City a bit more often than once every couple of years! When I hear that ticket's are going on sale for one of your special events, that makes my entire month!!! I am hoping that the rumors are true about the Valentine's Day gig in New York!!     Will there b and opportunity to maybe order a CDR of the the material posted which is shipped once every few months or so rather than downloading any MP3's? I have a slow connection and no CD Burner - and I always sing along to your music best when I'm in my car :)
    I must say first off that I have no idea exactly what this new club is going to be like, but I'm so pleased to be part of what seems to be a very exciting new experiment in music distribution. I do have some questions though: does it cost me any $? if I don't have a credit card, can I send a check (with some delay in service, of course). Also, will the music come in mp3 or some other format? And finally, what kind of music will be offered? (please say all kinds, including live tracks, my brother, cuz that's what I'm diggin' right now). And as a final word: I'm am behind you and your music 100%, let's take it a little higher and continue your journey where ever it leads you, because the journey itself is one of the greatest gifts God gives!

    In a world where there is so much strife & hurt, it is at least relieving 2 know that music is always there 2 soothe one's soul & offer comfort, and I know that Prince speaks with genuine feeling.     Much props 2 u for the creation of the NPG Music Club. I can only envision that this will far exceed anything any of us could have ever thought possible. I see visions of monthly CDs dropping in the mail with themes like "Prince does Country," "Prince does Alternative," "Prince does Gospel," "Prince does U" all for a small fee. I can see the NPG Music Club becoming the catalyst for all artist/fan relationships in the future. Pas y amor.
    Thanks for asking for our questions. Here are the things I am wondering about:
    1. Will the materials on the site be in a proprietary format that can only be played/accessed through a single piece of software provided by you?
    2. Will we be able to download the files, or will they only be streamed at the site?
    3. If the files are downloadable, can they be copied to other computers? burned on cd? disseminated through Napster?
    4. How much is the subscription fee and what payment periods have been established (weekly fees? monthly? annual? pay as you go?)
    5. How often will the music club be updated with new material?
    6. Will the digital materials released through the music club be exclusive to that venue or will other types of media (cds, dvds, videos) be available with the same content? If such versions of the materials are available, will they be accessible through NPG retail alone or in traditional music shops as well?
    7. What is the name of the new album? what is the tracklisting? is it on a subsidiary label? when will it be released?...Hey, I had to try, right! :-)

    I want to make you aware of the fact that I have an older computer and do not have capability to download Realtime or have any way of making MP3's. Therefore, if your music is not released on a CD, I miss out. I know there are others just like me.
    I would like to have that option. I live is Orange County, California. Any way of me being able to obtain the new music other than on the net?

    I was curious if the downloads would only be in a streaming format. Will we be able to save the files and listen to them when we're not online and put them on cd's to play when we're driving (or doing whatever)?
    Will we have access to older unreleased Prince material? Or, will those tracks still be relegated to Crystal Ball-type projects?

    i'd like to see unreleased/outtake/live/special music from ALL phases in prince's career- not just recent-
    maybe crystal ball two can be released this way? or how about putting the bootleggers out of business with a TRACK BY TRACK copy of the popular outtake sets, only in perfect prince-approved versions? i'd be more than happy to part with some $$$ to get those songs in excellent sound- and send the $$$ where it needs to go in the meantime! to prince!

I doubt it, and if that is the case, I was 1derin' if the newfunk will B available as .MP3 as well, as my computer can just about deal w/that (in 22khz, mono!) :( - please don't say "buy a new computer" cos I just can't!!!
