The divinely uplifting Lovesexy, of course.

    Cream/Horny Pony

Several times on single because everytime i buy it horny pony keeps skipping. Having just paid nearly £50 for a japanese import of the single i found it rather ironic that it was on this months npgmc.

total number of times i have paid for Horny Pony now is 7

Sign O' The Times has been upgraded from scratchy cassette to beautiful CD in my collection. Hasn't left my player in two weeks straight so far

Lovesexy & Sign o' the Times. I have always considered these to be the best pieces of work released to the public and I have to keep replacing them because they get so beat up from listening. If you re-record and release these outside of WB, you will probably make money off me if that's what you're getting at! ;)

I must have bought Sign O the Times about 12 times when it came out. I was so impressed with it that I wanted all my friends to have a copy

    XOXO,
    Nick

sign o the times i have got it on tape cd and vinyl. its my favorite

When CDs came out, I felt the need 2 buy everything once again that I had on cassette and vinyl. And my Hits/B-Sides CD got worn OUT real fast, so I've bought that at least 3 times. Plus I lost Emancipation once and replaced it, ordered CDs online and then bought them in stores anyway when I couldn't wait, and bought several copies of his work 2 give 2 friends. I won't even go in2 singles because it would take all afternoon :) Videos too!

I have purchased 1999 3 times. The first on cassette, the second on CD without DMSR and then again on CD with DMSR. Obviously my favorite Prince album at one time, at this point I think it would be to difficult to select a favorite Prince album. As, each album represents a different period in his amazing career. I really would have to say at this particular time I am leaning toward the Gold Experience, Emancipation and Dirty Mind, but am fond of all of them.

I have purchased Purple Rain in all formats first with the cassette then the record and finally the CD. I also have Purple rain the movie on VHS and DVD...so does that count as 5 x? I purchased Around the World in a Day, Parade, and Sign of the Times in all formats as well, but the Album I purchased the most times was 1999. I have had this on casette 3 times, on vinyl, and on CD twice. I think it was because it had some very racey lyrics, was obviously controversial, and musically was a little slice of heaven. I'd have to say though that if Vinyl was still around I would re-purchase all of Prince's albums again, because there was something so cool about having this 12"x12" picture and usually having all the lyrics inside.

I hope you are asking this to see what'd we like to see in a Prince/Paisley Park greatest hits compliation. Understand that we the fams will buy everything you put out, probably in every format, size and color. We love the NPGMC, but we are yearning for something to hold on to to go the local wrecka sto and buy. Personally, I'd love to see some DVD releases from the Park containing all the videos, released and otherwise. I'd love to see the official release of The Undertaker, the release of High and Peace (if they are not the same album), and ofcourse the release of the greatest hits collection with at least 4 new trax as promised from NPG Ahdio. I have not purchased the latest WB greatest hits collection because it offered me nothing new and was opposed to by Prince. We are waiting for the blizzard of releases we all believe is coming soon.....I have my credit card standing by!!

    Emancipation

Well being that CD's are of great reliability there hasn't been any need to buy albums over and over. Maybe a couple lost or stolen ones over the years. BUT .... I would love to have a "tracked" Lovesexy. Got any sittin' round?

    P2JLN

The Prince record that I have bought the most is Purple Rain. I have listened to that record so much that I didn't have a choice.I had to buy new ones because I could not hear the songs any longer. They were all played out. Thank you making such wonderful music and keep up the good job.

The Gold Experience. It contains quite a diverse mix... my husband and I misplaced our first one, when I went back to purchase another....I bought two (Smile), one for his car and one for mine. :o) It's an excellent piece of work! Another I must mention is the Soundtrack to Girl 6, there again I bought an extra copy... especially when one of us left for a road trip or out of town, I couldn't bare to part. (Smile).

The records that I have re-purchased the most is a tie between Purple Rain & Sign O The Times (twice each). And I would doitalloveragain. Thanks,

    Dave

    Sign O' The Times

    Thrice (3) times

Worth it every time, once on vinyl and twice on CD.
    Thanks

    William C Froemming

    No doubt: get off!
Because the lyrics in combination with the drums, genius is the only was 2 describe u! I mean: "23 positions in a one night" stand and "o my god she got no underwear on, i' ve should have known, i' ve should have known", it is great!

1999 followed closely by Under the Cherry Moon

    High NPG,

The only album I bought a few times over is "Lovesexy". I've never really had a need to buy an album twice, since I'm usually quite careful with my cd's and never scratch them. But I just couldn't stand the idea of my "Lovesexy" copy ever getting damaged and not being able to get it anymore in stores. That's cause to me Lovesexy is one of the ultimate Prince records. An amazing, cohesive rock of an album with funktastic artwork and lyrics. I've recently bought my 3rd copy of it.

An album I would really LIKE to re-purchase is "The Gold Experiece", but sadly it seems to be out of print.[which is just a crime against all music freax out there....]

    Greetz,
    Lars Montforts.

I really like the gold experience a lot

Of course I did buy all of the albums from "For You" up to "Diamonds and Pearls" twice when I moved from cassette to CD at last. But, the album I bought the most would probably be "Emancipation".

As much as loved Prince's earlier stuff, "Emancipation" is definitely my favourite album by Prince / O(+>. 3 hours of incredible music, and it showed Prince at one of his happiest and most sincere moments in my opinion. It was such an eclectic, interesting collection of music, and I believe that it was greatly underappreciated by music lovers world wide. Perhaps it will be 10 years before people look back at that album, amidst all the other junk that came out of the 90's, and be blown away.

I bought "Emancipation" three times actually. I bought it when it first came out (three days early, it was hard work convincing the record store employees to sell it to me early, but I did it :) Unfortunately I played it so much that the CDs got all scuffed so I bought a second copy. And I loved that so much, I bought a third copy of it for my girlfriend, to educate her in the ways of funky music!

    Thanks Prince, great album!

    Ian

On the first day there was tape. No income, just a kid. No kidding. Dorothy was cool, I was naive but happy.

On the second day vinyl down the veinz. Small income, bigger kid, tables were turned 4 a beautiful night.

3rd day, the digital way 2 proclaim the cross 2 b the Christ. Yep the CD saw the day and became my 3rd investment (of peace and mind)

I know 2 little love went 2 man who gave blood, sweat'n tears on this jam and 2 much 2 the suit, that dwells in ignorance...

Peace 2 the chocolate invasion (and therefore much props 2 my wife)

Whitch Album hade I re-purchase in the most times?
    The one I hade 2 get 3 times....Sign'O'The Times.
The 1st is when I misplace the cover of this cassette.
2nd is when My tape player ate it up.Grrrrr

My Sign 'O' The Times record skipped so many times I had the songs memorized with the SKIPS IN THEM. I'd be singing "Hot thang, barely 21...21...21...21" - o lord! I bought a new one :)

The Gold Experiance, Funny how someone always likes to take that one.

Eye've bought Emancipation 5 times to date! The first set fell out of a car window on the freeway. Needless to say there was no getting that back. The second set was put in the toaster by my wonderful son. ( Time out was not an option). the third set was crushed under a rocking chair, and the fourth set was stolen by an Ex-girlfriend. Needless to say I've made copies of the 5th set and the originals are tucked away on the top shelf of my closet. Hopefully for good this time!

    Hello NPG,

I have purchased Kamasutra three times. I have two cassettes and one CD. Although not the most popular, it is a classic because it is an example of the vast artistic giftedness given by God to Prince. Prince was destined to glorify God with his music.

    Peace,
    Mark H

High eye must admit the 1992 cd over the years about 8 or 9 times at least

There are four records the I have purchased over and over and over. Dirty Mind (5 times), Around the world in a day(6 times), Love sexy(5 times), and Signs "o" Times(7 times). I just keep wearing them out in every format.

All my vinyl collection on cd.

    Vincent

Sign of the times is the greatest album ever made. I have bought it three times. Trey Lattier

1999, Sign o the Times, and Parade . . . basically my favorites.

    Marc Walters

The most repurchased record by Prince by far is Sign 'O' The Times. I purchased this record 10 times since the release date. I purchased 5 tapes (all were worn out from excessive playing time) and 5 CDs (3 lost to ex-girlfriends, 1 scratched by careless cousin, and 1 recently stolen (along with entire Prince collection)). I am currently rebuilding my collection, but I don't mind. I'll get the collection insured next time.

    Peace,
    TheKell

    Sign 'O' The Times

    Alexander V. Balderas

i've ended up buying sign o the times 4 times now, and emancipation twice. i always end up lending it to someone to "feel the vibe", only to have them keep it! :) as long as i can spread the sounds, i'm cool with buying another one.

I have bought all albums up through batman twice. Everything I had was stolen, and besides, it was time to step up to CD's. That's it. Why would you buy something twice unless it was lost, stolen, broken, or something like that?

I will buy a replacement as needed. I plan to keep a continuous collection of all of Prince's released material. Except may Crystal Ball, just because of the overall cost.

    Lewis Johnson

With You and Prince! I buy them for all of my friends!

    Peace,
    Keith

the most times i have re-purchased a prince cd was 3 times with O(+> - standard, clean, and vinyl.

PRINCE, THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE 2 CHOOSE. I'VE RE-PURCHASED UR CATALOG OF RECORD'S SINCE 1981. I THINK THAT ALL FAMS CAN AGREE. EVERY ALBUM HAS ITS' OWN LIFE.

    CHRISTOPHERTRACY1986

I have bought Purple Rain several times. the reason why is because they have messed up and i would have to replace them, especially on cassette.Thanks.

    --- Cathy Woodall

By far the one I've repurchased the most is Sign O' the Times. I play it so much and it has 2 discs, so inevitably 1 will get scratched and it's off to the record store I go to get a new copy. I think I've bought it 5 times over the years.

    Russ
    Alexander

I would have to say it is a tie between Diamonds and Pearls and Controversy. I love your new stuff though.......but my favorites are still "wanna be your lover" and "you need another lover, like you needed a hole in your head". Great songs, great memories!!!!!

    Giana

LOVESEXY! I have bought that album 5 times. (Actually the cassette tape.) I absolutely LOVE that album.

The answer would have to be Purple Rain. I bought it on cassette for my car right after I saw the movie so that I could listen on the way home. Then I bought the LP for the house. Then as soon as it came out on CD, I bought that too. If it ever gets the proper remastering for CD that it deserves, I'll buy that too.

Next would be both Around The World in a Day and Parade. I bought them on cassette for the car and as soon as they were released on CD, I bought those too.

I still have all of the CDs and LPs that I originally bought when they all came out. I should re-buy 1999 on CD because I still have the original without DMSR. I'll also re-buy any CD that get's remastered to today's standards. All of that music deserves to be heard in it's full sonic glory.

    Lonnie Minter

Would have 2 b the Purple Rain album 2 upgrade 2 c.d then also 4 wearing out that c.d.Yeah,really.Also,the same 4 the SIgn O' The Times album.Wore that one out as well ! All the others aren't neglect either.May have 2 do a lil' more upgrading soon.

    1999

    cheers
    Dan

The one that I re-purchased was Parade!!!!!! Believe it or not I feel that his music was transcending not realizing until I got into the music thats when I repurchased the album. I only wish that he could have added more of the unreleased music to the album. Next one I will buy is, I wonna be you lover. Warner bros. let it go, get over it.
    Peace my brother.

    Quincy D. Solomon

Parade and Arround the World in a Day

    Bertold Zugelder

The Dirty Mind album has long been my most favorite work by Prince. I love everything that my brotha has done, that's why I have held a passion for him since Day One! But there's something about Dirty Mind that has never faded for me. I love the grittyness of it!! I purchased it when it was originally released on vinyl back in what, 1980 or 81? Then I got a copy of the cassette tape to play in my car. Then, years later I decided I needed this brilliant work on CD so I bought it again! And if Prince decided to go back in the studio and re-master it, I'd buy in AGAIN!!

Luv to Prince & the NPG!!

    Jo in Chicago!!

I have purchased Purple Rain 5 times and Parade 3 times well, 2 times one was a birthday gift from a musician friend. Peace, Orlando.

I have repurchased all records up until Sign O' the Times the most. At one point, I had the album, tape and CD version of all of them (some tapes have been worn out and never replaced, but I still have the album and cd). As technology changed, it became very for me to make sure I could play MY PRINCE anywhere!

Now, I just by the CD's.
