Just incase someone will read this, I just wanted to say thank you for the
"Rave In2 the Joy Fantastic" CD. I love it even more than the first one,
you can tell Prince had more to do with this one, artwork and all. I am
SOOOOOOO happy I joined the NPGMusicClub, best money I've spent in a
loooonnngg time!! Thanks again. JessE
I was wondering if the site(s) would see a real forum any time soon?
Although they need moderation I think that it would be more in tune with a more open-dialogue philosophy; more truthful if you will.
I like my information like I like Prince's music, raw and unedited. In it's truest form.
From a technical standpoint if you were to house your own forum on your own hardware then you could make it accessible to only those in the NPG Music Club. This would help keep out at least some of the negativity.

First of all, I think the concept of the Music Club is a great idea. Months should have had 7 days though... that way my hunger for a next edition could be stilled.
Here's my tip for the Club :
How about replacing the computer voice in the Ahdio shows by the voice of members of the band... or maybe Prince himself could leave us a message here...

Everything released through the NPGMC has surpassed Prince's output in the last few years - the man is on fire again.
Definately re-subscribing next February.

I have been a fan since the release of Controversy. The npg music club is
truly something I am very glad to have purchased. Keep up the good work.
Hi I just wondered if a facility could/would be addedd where we can vote for
tracks to be in the next subscriptions.
For example, you offer a list of 20 tracks we get to vote on which ones we
want. Some of these tracks could be older songs live or bootlegs and
especially some of the snippet tracks we here on the audio show - some of
these are to good to let go.
Also an NPG bulletin board a bit like other unofficial mailing boards where
we can discuss forums. An online chat area in which we can all meet and every
so often npg members come online.
Downloadable video messages from Prince and everyone else at the NPG
Maybe a webcast concert/gig every now and then
How about some official NPG skins for our own players - Winamp sonique and
windows media player also how about an ICQ skin and maybe an ICQ group list
so that fams can see when eachother are online
Just wanted to also say well done, think the npg music club is great - loads
better without the player - i could only get this to work on a few occasions.
I think the club is doing a great job of tring to please everyone. It's
Prince!! I think everyone should be patient. When a company starts out there
are always little quirks!

The majority of members really believe in what you/we are doing and totally
understand that to get the club right for everyone,straight off the bat,
would be impossible.

I would like to congratulate you on the new look and feel of the club. You may have been getting a lot of grief from some of my friends at AMP over the problems you have been having in the early days of the club. I would like to put in some positive feedback on my and their behalf as ppl are quick to criticise when something is wrong, yet not to give praise when all is well.
I am extremely happy with the club. I have been a major fan of Prince since 1987 and have always sought out every release on the day it came out. In the last five or so years my interest has declined somewhat as there seemed to be not much output from your camp. However with the music club I have the opertunity to keep bang up to date with all the latest trax.
You can not evaluate how good this club is for me ! It makes sense to me !

I'm a premium member and proud about it. It seems as Prince was here, at
home, making live traxx and setting up an hour long show. That site makes
all the fams and Prince just like one and the same.
I heard once that Prince made a song each day. If each song he's written is
as good as "The work", "northside", "supercute", "sex me sex me not",
"high", "my medallion", or "the daisy chain" well, god, I'll be the
HAPPIEST man on the planet !
I really wanted to congratulate you for the work you've done. Even if
Prince, as an artist, bring us the material, YOU deliver it. So, without
you, nothing could happen. Briefly, i'm happy thanks to all of you.

I have been a Prince fam, since I first heard the Purple Rain album back when I was about 14 (1990), since then I been amazed at the eccentric multi talented muscian/poet and brother Prince. He is definately one of the most influential musicians of the last few decades.
What truly amazes me is the back catalogue of high quality songs that he has not released, a lot of which is better than what has been available on the market recently.And the live performances....what a blast (PS Thanks for Vikki Waitin- da bomb)
He is a very brave individual, whose cause should be backed by all. The consumer capitalist state, with the illusion of democracy has enslaved us by conditioning our minds into a concept of freedom that is based on a a soul less artificial materialistic environment. For are we in the 21st century living in the West free? In a commercial sense maybe? for that paper note that we live and die for is our conditioned freedom. But the real Pharohs of the world, are the financial/corporate institutions who rape at no expense, ever heard of Fair Trade? Child slavery in the Third World is fair trade? next time you buy those pair of trainers check out the unfair price you pay to that child in Pakistan.
So fair is fair trade that the U S govn can ignore any environmental consequences of their global domination.
Am I free..yes materialistically maybe I am more financially better off than a brother in Morrocco living in a desert hut. However when that brother wakes up in the morning he hasnt the financial worries I have. His worries are the nature that surrounds him, the weather, the sunlight, the trading of his harvest, the feeding of his camel.
When we offer our prayers to Allah (God) in the morning who is living in reality me or my brother who is harnessing forces of nature and the environment.
I would rather be a slave to nature than to any meaningless note.
Inorder for us to exist in the future we must ensure that Fair Trade is true Fair Trade..not Global Capitalism Beneficial fair trade..
Hence I believe the NPGMC is a true pioneer as a fair trade of music. Artists have too often fallen for the large corporate dream that always ends in nightmare.
Black music in America is a multi billion dollar business, but of this how much of the cut goes to the projects? To busy selling ghetto dreams of easy drug monies...
The true ghetto dream should be that every brother and sister works so damned hard to get their education and excel to follow their dreams in life.It can be done and has been done.Rappers in their flash cars will not do this, biggup Common, Public Enemy and DEAD PREZ...(and other positive brothers)

Prince has started FAIR TRADE of music by NPGMC. The content will always be debated, as we as humans are never satisfied, but the concept should truly be applauded.

I just got your email about updates, and while none of them is specifically something I was looking for, I was impressed by your willingness and desire to listen to what people ask and do something about it. I am continually impressed with the service u provide and couldn't b more satisfied with my membership! Keep it up!!!
I just wanted to let all involved know that, I am one completely satisfied
customer! I am a premium club member and so far it has been worth every penny.
The technical difficulties in the beginning were certainly understandable and
the new 2.0 version is much more user friendly. The pictures were an awesome
addition, I couldn't have been more pleased about those, they were fun to look
at. Prince is always 3 fine, and a pleasure to look at, but it was nice to see
the whole band in action too, please do provide as many photos as possible.
The Live trax were great, the new music, the videos....everything!! I really
like High, My medallion, passing your name (FBH), The Work, sex me baby,
Supercute, ahhh, I pretty much like it all, I'm totally diggin the Jacob Armen
stuff too...ouch! smokin'! The skits are funny, I' feel so bad for Femi...LOL
but it seems to be in good fun. Femi comb your hair had me rollin'...and I
don't even know what his hair looks like. Oh yeah, Murph (sp?) drag (what is a
murph drag, anyway?) is great too...classic Time, I hope to hear more of them in
the future. I can't wait to exercise my concert tix benifit....(hint hint)
that is, if you come up this way (NH/MA) again (fingers crossed.) I saw the Hit
and Run in Worcester Ma. back in November and it was great, I'd go again in a
heartbeat.

I must tell you, since February when you started this NPGMC experience,
it's been a lot more fun to be a Prince fan. NPGMC has allowed fans to
enjoy,
not just music, but also every kind of multimedia from videos to radio shows
and more. With new music published every month, it's lot easier to keep fans
satisfied. NPGMC is all good!! Do not change this concept!!
The development of the club has been astoundingly fast, thanks to the user
feedback and quick response for the requests and the ideas. I am very
pleased with
this new change that doesn't require NPGMC player. Just keep this ability
to access all the downloads and other stuff with browser. It is a lot easier
to use
to everybody.
I have one idea how to develop this "from-artist-straight-to-fan" concept
even further.
It is apparent that old ways to sell music are still demanded. CD's are
still needed
to make wider impact to music consumers. Nobody will play these fine songs
unless
they're "out there" in stores and on radio waves. My idea is to use fan's
help to create
a record to market. Whenever Prince or NPG have created new material and are
thinking
to publish the material on a CD, it could be a valuable chance to know what
people really
want by asking fans. For example, the artist himself would of course decide
some of the
songs by himself whether they appear on the album or not. But since the true
fans usually
get to hear most of the songs anyway before the album is even out, it could
be a considerable thought
to put some of the songs in Monthly Editions and ask fan's opinions about
how they like the
songs. By that I mean that NPGMC members could vote their favorite songs
from a list
of songs (whole songs or just snippets) and by voting they would be able to
influence
to the final tracklist of the album that hits the stores. This way, if the
artist has a doubt what
songs he should include to the record, he could find out what people most
likely would like
by asking his fan's opinions. And as you are probably aware of, Prince fans
are not a bunch
of asskissers but serious music consumers who only think the musical best
for their favorite artist.
The revised site is much better guys. Not much of a techy so no suggestions from me I'm afraid. I'm looking forward to future instalments and improvements and I already feel like I've got my moneys worth for the year.

I am very impressed with NPGMC Version 2.0! First, I like the way that it
matches NPG ONLINE's format - makes it look like a sister website (which it
is). Second, I like the way that everything is now itemized and how the
site has new segments (concerts, xtras, etc.)
For those of you complaining about this on the fansites - remember THIS IS
ONLY MONTH NUMBER 3. You guys need to be patient and give this time to
improve. Nothing is gonna be perfect right out of the gate. NOTHING.
We've already seen 3 incarnations of NPGMC, so you guys know they're fixing
what needs to be fixed. So far it's been worth my $8.33 a month. If you're
gonna complain about 8 bucks a month, then maybe you're not real fams
anyway.
I do have a few suggestions (not COMPLAINTS people):
1. Please include the file size somewhere near the filename so we can see
what we're downloading BEFORE we start. This was in the My Media section,
and I think it was a big help.
2. I agree with some others that The Work shouldn't have been a new track.
But having said that, it's nice to have it at a higher bit rate. Maybe you
could add another new song/live song this month?
3. Finally, I wish that there was a fixed date for new releases. I
wouldn't care if it's the end of the month, beginning, whatever. Just make
it the same day every month - I think a lot of us would appreciate that.
Other than that, everything is really coming together nicely. Keep up the
good work!

Just wanted to let y'all know that I LOVE the new version of the music club.
It loads MUCH quicker than the first version. (I had trouble with all the
animation and the pages took forever to load).
Just wanted to say thanks for a great experience so far and that I'm looking
forward to the months to come.
NPGMC 2.0 is a great improvement!
Make the videos available in other formats suitable for lesser
systems(Realvideo, MPEG etc) and it will be near perfect.

I just wanted to say that the music club is a great idea and I've already gotten my moneys worth from the premium membership!
I live in Chicago and had no problem and not near as much "oh gosh I need to get tickets fast- via internet, phone, waiting in line" stress. I have become disabled in the last year and cannot physically wait the hours in line that I used to. I've been known to spend 12 hours or more in line to see Prince.
So this is a huge relief in more ways than one!

The experience has just got a whole lot better.
2 the point: I do not see a way to "Logout" of the MPGMC. Is there a button I'm missing?
Does security require a "logout" or is closing the browser window good enough. (Just trying 2 do my part 2 protect the jams.)

Thank You for the wonderful music and the new apparatus for experiencing
"our" club! One selection would be to fit the link to the specific download
selection a little closer to the instruction sentences...I tried for hours in
vain until I enlarged the size of the pop-up window to the maximum- Then I
noticed the link. Up until that point I thought it was still a problem with
Quicktime or Java...As usual the wait was worth it and the graphics continue
to amaze and delight! I am closer to being at a real LIVE performance! Love

Just had a suggestion 4 the "Xtras" portion of the NPGMC. At times when i've been 2 paisley 4 the friday parties, i've seen on the big screens, a spinning O(+> symbol. Now I no that Prince is now called Prince again but I've always thought that would B a phat screen saver.
Also, all who were present at paisley the night "the war" was recorded would most definately agree that if that performance of "the one/one of us/the christ/purple rain/Ur still the one(Shania Twain)" was recorded, IT NEEDS 2 B RELEASED!!! Especially that version of Ur Still the one. theaxewuzscreemin. NPGMC would B the perfect channel 2 release this show!!

I just wanted to write and let ya'll know how much I love the new version of the club! It's incredible! The main thing that I love about the new version is that the "Ahdio Shows" are now in MP3 format. Keep up the great work, and keep pumpin' out the jams.....I can't get enough!! :)
