What can be better than being in line with NPG fams off of Hollywood Boulevard taking in the scene and making new friendships? Just remember to bring sunscreen because the line could be outside! Oh, don't 4get comfortable shoes 2. Prince asked the audience, Do U have some1 to love? Well, if not, love yourSelf. LoveLife. Respect Yourself - so good to hear this from some1 like Prince. He also spoke about how the current generation does not have music like b4 – songs such as Respect Yourself and tunes by ones such as the Staples. Prince also spoke about how we need to stop looking at diversity - our differences - and raise our thinking to a level of unity and see what things we have in common. The sound at the Kodak was so awesome - each morning, after getting back home from Cali, eye turn on the CD in the car with all its power and still can not get even close to the immersion of the experience at the Kodak. Catch a show with Prince and the NPG and you will catch the feel in realtime. this is Love and a party that is the ultimate! Tripping on all the spaces and places that we can be born and have the opportunity of seeing Prince and the NPG is just so fine. God is so good to us. Thank U.

from a longtime fan

I hadn't seen Prince since I was a teenager and back then I thought his concert was great but I have to truly say this was the best concert I've ever attended I love that Prince is on a more spiritual level and the hidden messages throughout the concert was wonderful I just hope people get it. and it nice to be able to go to a concert and not worry about profanity these days that's hard these days music has changed so much, it was just delightful I couldn't sleep all night:) It was the best.

Welcome Brother.

I have been a fam for most of my life, and to see Prince in this way was 2 cool. 2nd row, center! The ban was amazing, and were all enjoying themselves so much that I couldn't help but feel the joy! My wife and I slow danced, with Prince singing, and we felt it was just 4 us! And my girl Rhonda, u were so hot! It was nice to say Hi b4 the show! It was truly music 4 the soul!

The after party was also something I would have never dreamed of! Seeing the man and the band in a night club! Joining the NPG Music Club was the BEST investment I have ever made.. 6 hours of Prince and the NPG in 1 day!!!!!
Thanks for the memory, and I look forward to the next time we meet..
peace,

Whew!! What can we say?!?!? We are virturally speechless! We cannot describe in words (...but we'll try) how wonderful last night's performance was. Everytime we see Prince, it just gets betta and betta. We have seen him twice in Denver before and now here, last night, in Hollywood. While each were special in it's own way, this performance had a little something extra. Be it the priviledged, "back-stage" soundcheck, the exuberant and diverse crowd( rookies & veterans), the eclectic, thought-provoking set list, all performed by the most extraordinary and rich ensemble we have ever heard. It is truely AMAZING how a true musician/performer can rock "one night" for over 6 hours! At times like these, we are all reminded of the fact that we should be extremely thankful and how we're wonderfully blessed to have, truely, a prophet within our midst. RECOGNIZE, APPRECIATE & PASS IT ON!!

On a special note, we would like to mention the NPG MUSIC CLUB. Like the ad says "Membership (DEFINATELY) has it's priviledges". Of course, you have heard about the many, many perks, but, we'd like to mention the members. Prince would have definately been proud of how his "family" took care of one another... and others too! Being courteous, respectful and all loving, it was an experience we have never felt before. Spirit and harmony was one and the comraderie we all felt throughout the whole evening speaks of high regards and great volume of the man himself. Like he says "God is love". Now go join and be Blessed!

Hello all members on the NPG! I don't think I can express what I witnessed April 19, 2002, for the first in my and my girlfriends life we finally got to see the one and only Prince in the concert. Like a dream come true it was hard to believe we were actually there, so close. Never before have I heard a crowd sing a long to so many different songs all in perfect harmony, there was so much energy there and that energy is still with me today, God I feel so good today. I must say I've never seen such a diverse crowd of people, we truly are the RAINBOW CHILDREN, and everyone seemed so friendly. The NPG was tight, I think tighter then ever before. I've never see an artist have such much fun with the crowd, Prince looked truly happy. I just wanna say THANK YOU to Prince and the NPG, you put on the best show I've ever seen, hope to catch you in concert again!
Thanks Vyper.

How can I express the surreal emotions that I felt when gazing upon an artist, whom I have admired for many years now? The L.A. show was exceptional and memorable. Never in my life have I witnessed a man so profound and competent in his works. Only Prince has that unique flair for drawing out every emotion conceivable in an audience. His talent surpasses all others and the harmony that radiated in the room, gave me a sense of inner peace. Taking in accurate knowledge of Jah and preaching the good news of the kingdom has always been a strong factor in my life. Hearing Prince sing about it, intensified this factor even more.

Because of club membership I was able to sit in the second row at the Kodak Theater! Wow, what a blessing to witness an unadulterated talent up close and personal. The band was just phenomenal and each member had their own special gifts and talents to contribute.

Thank you Prince for an unforgettable evening.

Much love to you,

J.

Prince & The NPG, Thank u 4 performing such a spectacular show in Los Angeles, CA on 4/19/2002!!! This concert was the most spectacular experience in my entire life. I wouldn't trade that experience 4 anything in the world! Being a part of this show with such a good vibed audience (amazing love 4 Prince!), flawless perfomances by the AMAZING NPG (where do u find these great musicians Prince?!), and of course u Prince, showing that u genuinely enjoyed performing those beautiful songs 4 us (smiling constantly), will definitely be one of the greatest highlights of my life! Thank u so much 4 the spiritual vibe and the beautiful songs!

P.S. I really feel that "The Holy River" would also be an awesome addition to this tour and would fit right in with the spiritual tone of the concert!

Peace, and see u again soon!

WOW! Thank U Prince & the N.P.G. 4 another fabulous night. It just keeps getting better and better. The sound check was 2 cool. Watching Prince and his crew at work and loving what they do B4 the concert. Having just the members in there B4 the rest of the crowd made it feel more intimate. Thank U 4 having such a great idea N following along with. Candy Dulfer gave me dreams the whole night after of nothing but GREAT SaX. John Blackwell keeps getting better and better. And the talented and beautiful Rhonda Smith. Girl I love that Acoustic Bass. Something about a woman holding on2 that thick neck and thumping…..ahh, never mind. Renato is know Matt Fink or Mr. Hayes and U just cannot compare them. The brother is from his own planet. He brings such a unique flavor 2 the band that it is unbelievable. N let’s not 4get about Greg on the trombone, with plunger or without was bringing his own vibe 2 the table also. There is something about going 2 a Prince concert with UR girl. And in my case, this has been my wife Patti 4 the last 5 years. It is always a romantic N Beautiful night. And I just got 2 add, that I believe there R 4 things that bring a person close 2 God: 1) The word of God; 2) Fellowship with your brothers and sisters; 3) Laughter(good for the soul); 4) Real music by Real musicians. N last night we got all 4. Peace N B WILD. Remember 2 have LOVE4ONEANOTHER.

Wow. Wow. Everything was perfect. I had the pleasure of also attending the NY show... and the NPG Music Club really ironed out all of the kinks. The wait for the soundcheck was not too painful... most of the wait was inside the building and there were even some benches to sit on along the way. The soundcheck itself was fabulous! So intimate! I could really feel how much he loves us. Waiting between the soundcheck and the show was so much fun. NPG fams are so friendly! I made two new friends that I plan to keep in touch with. The concert... as I said, extraordinary. I had seats so close that.. well.. there are all sorts of interesting things you can see up close! He wore us out. He took us where we so desperately wanted to go. He just about sang me ALL the way there.. if you catch my drift. But, no time to catch a cold shower after this show.. straight into the afterparty. No real waiting in line. Just as soon as I got my groove on.. he started playing. Took us there again. Over and over. Yes, there is joy in repetition! Then Sheila E. Wow. What a treat. I am truly privileged to have been there.

I am saving the pennies for the trip to the Celebration this summer. And resting my feet...
