Phenominal! Uplifting! Nothing compares 2 seeing my absolute dream on
stage 2 times in 3 days! I was also spoiled enuf 2 sit in the exact same
spot for both concerts (right next 2 the girl "in the pink hat"!).
All i can say is, "why'd it take 5 years 2 come back?"
i've said it B4 and i'll say it again...The Rainbow Children is the best
work Prince has done 2 date!
Thank you, Prince, 4 helping me find my way back 2 God.

if you're reading this before an upcoming show...you WANT to get tickets!
Prince & the NPG are bringing the funk train to town and you don't wanna
miss the ride. ain't NOBODY of late can do the do this thick. live, REAL
music gang. n'sync, brittney, kylie...sure it ain't!
the funk is extra picante and the vibe is guaranteed to sweep out spooky
electric from the corners of your soul. our friend is in fine form pushing
up on jams new and old. when they jump on Family Name you're gonna get
sticky on this groove. i especially got a thrill out of the nasty Rhodes
sound Prince pulled off.
it's an intimate setting at a premium price but you won't regret it. go and
see some killer musicians play with inspiration and jaw dropping virtuosity.
and pay attention! there's alot of news to consider.
best wishes for a safe tour to Prince and the NPG. it was great to see you
again. when the bass is thumping and the room is jumping there's that magic
you do and we really are many together as one. so thanks for that because
THAT is truly great. it's enough to make a "red man" wanna moan!

One Night Alone Tour Memories.
All I can say is amazing! Calgary was given a dose of funk that I'm
sure they won't forget. Certainly a time to remember.
As a NPG Club member, we were escorted into the auditorium
and seated in the orchestra pit. We were given the opportunity
to listen to the soundcheck for about an hour in a half, which was
awesome. This was at about 5:30pm. As we were taking our seats
Prince was talking and we couldn't figure out were he was, then a
short time after he was behind us sitting in the seats. He spoke
with the club members a bit, cracked a few jokes and performed a few songs.
My seat was front row, a couple of seats to the right off center. These were the
best seats I could ask for. Finally a wish come true, being so close
to seeing Prince perform his artistic musical mastery.
This was my second time that I've seen Prince. He is truly an artist that
has been given a spiritual blessing. I've always thought that Prince
is the best Musical Artist and after tonight, that belief is even stronger.
For the concert,, which started shortly after 8:00pm, what a mix,, Jazz, Funk,
and lovely ballads. The concert ended shortly after 11:00pm. The entire NPG
band was absolutely amazing. Let me tell ya Prince surely knows
how to keep the crowd on there feet. It's just so pleasing to see REAL talented
musicians play live music.
I would like to thank the NPG Artists and Prince himself for allowing
my friend and I this remarkable night that was truly memorable.
Prince you are the BEST !!
Keep the funk alive and I hope to see soon again. :)
Your loyal fan.

First off I have to say that the Calgary show was the absolute dream
come true for me. Prince arrived in our city the day before, and was
rehearsing at a local music store. I got 'THE' call of a lifetime from a
friend of mine, who worked in the store, asking me to bring copies of
Prince's c.d.'s to HIM so that he could rehearse some songs. (Apparently
he didn't have any copies with him) I arrived at the store to deliver
the c.d's and leave, when I was told I may get a handshake from Prince
for doing him the favour. I didn't expect anything to happen, but Trevor
the tour manager went inside the rehearsal room, and came back out and
told me I could go inside to say hi. I went inside and not only did I
get to say hi, but Prince himself reached out his hand to shake mine,
and asked me a few questions!! I just about passed out, because of the
20 years I have admired the man and his music, I never thought I would
ever be able to have direct contact with him, after reading all the
"stories" that have been told. Let me tell you folks, they are just
stories!! because Prince is a wonderful person!!! I left the store on
cloud 9 and anticipated the concert on the next day. We arrived at the
venue, and were suprised to find we were first in line for the NPG music
club members. After about an hour wait, we were allowed inside to
witness the soundcheck. We were led into the orchestra pit, where only
two rows had been set up, I was front and centre. He ran through La la
la (means I love you) the Delfonics song he covered on Emancipation,
Peach, and an amazing version of James Taylor's You've Got A Friend, as
well as some instrumental snippits from the Rainbow Children. This up
close and personal insight into his, and the band's musical talent, was
absolutely priceless to
me.
The concert was
even more amazing then I could have imagined. He performed the most
incredible selections of music, and hit us with his thoughts about life
that were deeper than the deepest oceans. His message to the audience
was one of love and freedom, and his voice was so beautiful, it felt
like it was directly connected to God. He even asked me up to dance on
the stage!!, which totally freaked me out!!, and later he threw a
marracca directly to me to play!! I was blown away by how friendly and
cool he was to the NPG music club members. And his people working with
him were so friendly, Takumi the guitar tech even gave me a bottle of
water to drink after dancing, which was so cool for him to do, and after
the show he thanked me for bringing the c.d's to the rehearsal. It shows
what class Prince and his family have!!, and I just want to thank
everyone associated with bringing Prince to our city, it made my LIFE
!!!! Please come back when you get a chance, you are always welcome here
in Calgary. I Wish U

The man and his band *played*. I've seen Prince a few times, but not like
this. While I was happy with his previous shows, and the parade of hits, I've
never seen such free creativity or musicianship in any artist/band like was
present in the show last night. In fact, the new grooves made the old hits
feel like bathroom breaks on a holiday car trip - necessary, but nothing like
getting back on the road to a new destination. Thanks for reminding me that
concerts should be about taking chances. I enjoyed the trip.
